Decarbonizing last mile delivery and line haul
To ensure excellence in our deliveries to our customer, we have initiated steps to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of our last mile delivery and line-hauls transport. The measures include among others, electrification of our last-mile fleet, use of sustainable fuels in line-haul, and network optimization, all in close collaboration with our subcontractors in this area.
Our approach for sustainable last mile & line haul:
- Electrify >66 % of our last-mile delivery vehicles by 2030
- We grow the sustainable fuels and electrification share of our heavy-duty truck transport to >30% by 2030.
- Reduce fuel consumption through permanent network improvements
- Support development and market availability of hydrogen and electric trucks
- Carbon insetting and book & claim product offerings for end customers
- Enable our subcontractors to decarbonize their operation through standards, education and incentives to invest in emission reduced transport solutions
- Enable employee contribution through trainings, projects, and sustainability programs.
