We want to be Green Logistics of Choice

Logistics is an essential driver of global trade, economic growth, and individual prosperity but it also leaves an enormous environmental footprint. As the world’s leading logistics company, we have worked hard to set an example for sustainable business, from introducing the industry’s first low carbon product to being the first logistics company to commit to net-zero emissions, as approved by the science-based target initiative (SBTi).

Sustainability is also rooted in our Strategy 2030, introducing "Green Logistics of Choice" as a fourth bottom line complementing the Group’s commitment to creating value for employees, customers, and investors.

  • With our mission to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, we strive for clean operations for climate protection. We are doing this by committing ourselves to a set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions target by 2030 in line with the Paris Agreement through the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

  • With approximately 600,000 employees, we are one of the world's largest employers in our industry. To be a great company to work for all, we take action to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging working environment for all our employees.

  • As a highly trusted company, we are strengthening our compliance management and ESG governance while taking the necessary steps to build a sustainable and resilient supplier base. Our values are anchored in our Code of Conduct as well as in our Supplier Code of Conduct, and underscored in binding policies. We have integrated clearly defined ESG KPIs into our internal and external reporting and started in 2022 strengthened ESG criteria into the annual compensation of the Corporate Board.
